Your privacy at Mietta

Updated October 1, 2026. This notice describes Mietta's current private testing service. Mietta is operated by ZarTech Studios LLC.

What we keep

We keep your account email, optional profile and size preferences, closet and makeup items, saved outfits, scan history, product search descriptions and results, usage allowances, and support requests. When purchases become available, we also keep transaction identifiers and a credit ledger; we never receive your full payment-card details.

Photos and AI

Before any AI feature first runs, Mietta asks for your permission once, names these partners and explains what is shared; we keep the date and version of your agreement with your account. You can withdraw it any time in You → Privacy & your data, and AI features will ask again before sending anything. OpenAI processes inspiration photos, product listing photos used to check makeup shades, garment crops you ask it to tag, and try-on photos. TypeSafe processes styling requests, style goals and descriptions of your wardrobe, and optional forecast conditions when you enable weather-aware styling. SerpApi receives product-search descriptions to find shopping matches. When you look for dupes, SerpApi also receives a temporary link to a crop of the piece in your photo, which it uses for a Google Lens visual search; the crop is deleted from our storage right after the search. When you add a whole outfit from one photo, OpenAI lists the pieces and fal (Meta's SAM 3 model) cuts each one out. In the try-on studio, fal outlines the piece being changed on your try-on photo and edits only that area with Ideogram's 4.5 model; Mietta keeps only the pieces you choose, on your iPhone, and not the photo. When enabled, fal and Decart process short silent videos for try-on. Supabase and Railway host our accounts, private storage and processing services. Provider processing may take place outside your country.

A saved full-body photo is optional and separate from your public-facing profile. The pose guide checks framing on your iPhone; no body measurements are taken or stored. Unsaved try-on inputs are removed after processing, with interrupted-upload cleanup after one hour. Full-resolution inspiration scan inputs are kept for up to 24 hours to support the free retry. Small private previews (up to four per scan) remain with your scan history until account deletion, so you can revisit the original inspiration and its dupe comparisons. Saved full-body photos and generated previews remain private until you delete them or your account. Provider-side retention is governed by their service terms and data policies; deleting a Mietta file does not retract a request already sent.

Camera-roll wardrobe beta

Local photo discovery, cropping and color suggestions run on your iPhone. Photo access is optional: choose individual photos or grant limited or full library access. The local scan does not send photos or gallery identifiers to Mietta or an AI provider. Garment cutouts are made on your iPhone. If you turn on automatic tags, or tap Fill in the details with AI or Tag with AI, each garment photo is sent to OpenAI to suggest tags and a name and to recreate the piece as an AI studio product photo; the photo is not stored by Mietta unless you back the piece up. Studio photos are AI recreations kept on your iPhone next to your own photo, which stays the record of the piece. Turn automatic tags off any time in Privacy & your data. Clear local drafts from Build from my photos. Optional backup uploads only the garment crops and details you choose, linked to your account. Tags record garment type, colors, sleeves, pattern, materials you identify, fit, length, warmth, dress code, seasons, color mood and occasions, distinguishing suggestions from your selections. Backed-up crops remain private until you remove the piece or delete your account. TypeSafe receives garment tags when you request a cloud outfit.

Optional weather

Your chosen city is stored on your device. Apple geocodes city names, and the U.S. National Weather Service receives rounded coordinates to return a forecast. Mietta’s server and TypeSafe receive forecast conditions only when you enable this feature and submit a styling request, never coordinates or city names. Remove your saved area in the weather widget. Weather service processing is subject to its own policies.

Your choices

Browse and organize without agreeing to AI processing. Use Privacy & your data in You to delete your saved body photo or request account deletion. Delete individual generated previews in the fitting room. Account deletion removes your account, library, search history and private media after active processing stops. Limited transaction records remain without your account association to prevent duplicate credit delivery and handle refunds. Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage it in Apple's subscription settings.

Search history and tracking

Search categories, visible garment types, colors, materials, queries and returned products are stored as structured records linked to your account for history, discovery rewards and understanding product-search performance. A fingerprint of each submitted image set prevents identical repeat scans from inflating rewards. Reward progress and earned pins/backgrounds remain with your account until account deletion. We do not sell this history or use advertising identifiers or cross-app ad tracking. We do not infer health, biometric identity, or body size from your photos.
